DESCRIPTION:Registration is now open for the Business of Art conference to be held at Reiman Gardens (1407 University Blvd., Ames, IA) on Friday, March 3 from noon to 4:45 p.m. and Saturday, March 4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The conference is organized by The Ames Community Arts Council and the Octagon Center for the Arts.\nDesigned to strengthen business skills and provide resources for both formally trained and self-taught creatives of all types, this conference will help artists learn new business skills and network with local and regional artists. This year, topics will include developing a brand, photographing your artwork, engaging your audience, running a small business, and much more. Professionals and students in all types of creative work, part time or full time, in all stages of their career are welcome. \nRegistration for the two day in-person conference is $100 for professionals and $50 for students.
